So a little while back, I asked a few groups if they know anyone who may have a spare cab seat.

(Thank you to everyone who put me in touch with those who had a spare cab seat)

Unfortunately those I found as doners were also in rough condition and in the end I ended up resorting to building a new cab seat from scratch.
New plywood throughout and added a few additional batons in the back for extra strength
templating with what I had left from the original.

Turned out better than I expected...

Another project completed.

Here we have 16 Ercol councillors chairs for Patchway Town Council.
The original covers have lasted over 20 years and have lost a lot of padding and comfort.
With a new lease of life and a new design to allow for a thicker foam padding in the seat and backs, here is to another 20+ years.

As I may have mentioned a little about it last summer, we have upgraded our vehicle for a specific reason, to become a mobile upholstery workshop that can recover gym pads on site and save on the amount of time a gym machine is out of action for.

We keep in stock a template of every gym pad that we have worked on throughout the decades and can pre-sew gym pad covers before arriving on site especially Life Fitness machines.

We also can make additional protection sleeves for machines that can be placed over high wear spots that can be torn off when worn out allowing further life to the pad underneath.

It doesn't matter, if it's one set of pads or an entire re-covering of a gym. We will help you with whatever issues you have.

We stock heavy duty vinyls in a huge variety of colours that reach from 400,000 to 750,000 rub test resistance that is anti-microbial and easy to clean.

A nice big project to end the year with for the United Reformed Church in Thornbury, Bristol.

We were approached to repair and recover 126 chairs after decades of use and moth damage.
With thicker foam in the seats and treated Crib 5 fabric close to the original design. These chairs will definitely last a few more decades to come.

Another refreshing overhaul of 80% of the whole gym at the UWE Centre of Sport after another heavy year of use.

When refurbishing the pads on one piece of new equipment, we found that the padding that was inserted was polystyrene 😳, on discovering this we replaced the pad filling with a very firm foam which will hold up against the heavy loads for years to come.

We also offered a more hardwearing vinyl that will last a lot longer after working with a new supplier.

The last photo of the van will soon be a new addition to Phoenix Upholstery Service by becoming our new mobile workshop.

With this we can offer to repair gym equipment onsite with pre-templated covers allowing us to take a machine out of commission for less than an hour compared to having to take it away, repair and return which could take a machine out of action for a day. We keep templates of every machine we work on and have almost every pad size in the Life Fitness range, Hammer Smith and a few other machines.

We are looking to offer our services to other gyms across the south west and would like to offer £30.00 to whoever refers us upon completion of work.

We are selling our company van to trade for a larger model to use as a mobile workshop. It comes with so many accessories and comes with no additional VAT and a new MOT.

We have quite a few projects to upload, but for now, here are a couple of barber chairs where the design of the original chairs were putting a lot of wear and tear on the piping over the edge of the chair.

As the other chairs in the shop had rolling edges, we adapted the design to allow the vinyl to flow over the edge of the chairs and hopefully allow them to withstand a few extra years of continuous use.

I'm sorry that I haven't been posting for a while, so I will gradually upload some of our more recent jobs that have been completed this year.

Here is a Layland Lynx that suffered a broken window and extreme water damage on the rear seats.
You can see the amount of sun damage from the original moquette to the new moquette on the left.

To whoever it may concern...

It has come to our attention that our company van has been CLONED and that said vehicle has been involved in some hideous crimes in and around the Bristol Area.

We have been investigated by the police and can prove with telematics that our vehicle was not involved. We are keeping an eye out for this vehicle and feel sorry to all the victims that these criminals have affected.

Please be on the lookout and keep an eye on any plain black low top 2020 model Renault Trafic Van, as we believe that this was involved in these crimes.

Another restoration project completed over the last few weeks with this Bristol VR double decker.

Chose to band the sides of all seat backs, replaced the foam and made brand new seat bases for every seat.

Should look splendid for a few more decades.
