Crystal Glaze is a solution that can be applied to almost any surface to improve its insulation value. It is applied as a liquid that once dried leaves the windows with an 8 micron thin layer, an ever so slight Purple tint and full transparency. It takes less than 1hr to until it is touch dry, 72 hours to fully cure, once this has happened the results are two fold:
1. The Nano technology filters 99% of UV Rays, meaning that although light is allowed to pass through it stops the room heating up by eliminating 'hotspots'. As furniture and surfaces absorb the heat caused by UV rays it then releases the heat slowly back into the room, essentially turning it into one giant radiator. Crystal Glaze eliminates this effect, reducing the temperature in conservatories by up to 6° in the summer.
2. Heat insulation. Glass conducts heat very well and even double glazing loses a lot of the heat from central heating. An average (insulated) 3 bedroom house loses 20-30% of its heat through its windows, depending on the number and size of the windows. What Crystal Glaze does is to make your windows energy efficient by stopping heat escaping through the glass, or even plastic roof panels, when you consider that conservatories are 75% glass it can increase temperatures in the winter by up to 10°. When you also consider that most radiators in homes and offices are situated underneath windows, then the benefits of having that heat reflected back into the room become clear. This then means that the central heating will not have to be on as long in order to reach and maintain the desired temperature, essentially saving you money on your heating bills.
