We're revisiting the early days to share our tradeshow set-up from NAB many years ago.

On these booths, we showcased the Milo motion control rig with an extended arm. The Milo is MRMC's first truly portable and accessible system that maintains the gold standard in stability and precision to this day.

The Milo remains one of MRMC's most iconic rigs and continues to push the limits of motion control on every project, from detailed macro work to live-action shooting.

Do you remember visiting this booth or seeing the Milo at a tradeshow? Let us know in the comments below! 🗨️

NAB Show 2026 is officially over, and what a memorable one it was! 🙌

This year, we celebrated 60 years of motion control expertise with a sports-themed activation at our booth. We showcased the incredible creative possibilities of motion control, from hands-on demos of the Cinebot Nano, Mini and Max to the debut of the new LiveTrack AI feature in Flair software.

Our broadcast robotics lineup featured the Roaming Pedestal Systems RPS-C2 and RPS-LT in a sports-themed virtual production workflow, which quickly caught the attention of attendees at our stand. We hope you also got a chance to learn more about the RLS Rail Lift System, AFC Robotic Head, Robotic POD M2, Pan Bars and the PTA-2B Robotic Head.

Finally, alongside the trusted Slidekamera by MRMC ATLAS MOCO - BULLHEAD Kit, we also debuted our brand-new KRONOS Curved Rail System.

We'd like to thank everyone who visited our stand and a special shoutout to Disguise, Unilumin, and Ben Sledge for making the show unforgettable.

Get in touch with us to continue the conversation and explore how MRMC can elevate and cater to your production needs. Until next time! 👋

The Netflix special, ONE SHOT: With Ed Sheeran, has been nominated for a BAFTA TV Craft Award under the Entertainment Craft Team category! 🏆

🎊 Congratulations to Philip Barantini and his team in the making of this extremely unique film, shot entirely in one take, in one hour, with the camera handed from a handheld operator to a drone, and even to the Cinebot Max!

Operated by Josh Treadaway and monitored by Mike Greenberg motion control played a significant role in capturing a technically impressive scene on top of a bus in NYC.

Celebrating 60 years of MRMC 🎉

We sat down with some of the original pioneers of MRMC technology, who are still innovating to this day, as well as several friends and clients from over the years, to commemorate our 60th anniversary and give thanks to those who have got us where we are today.

From early animation stands to our industry standard robots that redefined film, commercial productions and beyond, every leap forward came from the people who built, used, and pushed these machines to their limits.

Watch the full interview as MRMC legends and customers share stories, breakthroughs, and their favourite robots from across the decades.

To mark the end of awards season, we are delighted to share a very special piece of MRMC history. 🏆

For the first time since 1999, we’re revisiting the moment the Milo received the prestigious Academy Award for Scientific and Engineering Achievement, a milestone that continues to shape who we are today.

The Milo helped revolutionise motion control by making it more portable and accessible than ever for its time, while maintaining the gold standard in stability and macro‑precision that Mark Roberts is known for.

It became the first MRMC rig that could be transported in a van with minimal break‑down and set‑up time, offering nine axes of motion from below ground level up to four metres high. 🎥

Even now, the Milo continues to push the limits of motion control and inspires countless creative projects worldwide.

And just like that, the fourth Advanced Training Summit is done and dusted 🎓

This year was extra special as we celebrated MRMC’s 60th Anniversary, complete with exclusive merch, brilliant interviews and fun challenges along the way to mark the occasion.

We also raised the bar with three full days of Motion Control Summit activity, introducing a brand new Cinebot Training Day at AbleCine’s NYC studios, alongside our usual two days at The Garage, giving operators of all backgrounds and experience levels the chance to learn in sessions tailored to them.

A huge thank you to The Garage and AbleCine for hosting us and being such fantastic partners throughout, and of course to our incredibly talented key speakers who made it all happen:

Josh Treadaway & Ben Sledge teaching Cinebot Range training
Steve Giralt sharing his expertise on Virtual Production
Dan Gottesman breaking down Previs and operating workflows
Matt Snelling & Tim Cerchio diving into Flair 7
Julian Hermannsen running Advanced Motion Control
Simon Wakley leading Advanced Flair training

What an event. We can’t wait to do it all again at the next one.

We’re back with the first MRMC Academy video of 2026 🙌

This time, your host Ben Sledge takes a look at previsualisation, or simply previs as it’s known in the industry.

Previs is all about planning your move before the camera ever rolls, helping you test ideas, refine timing, and walk onto set with confidence. It is a powerful part of the motion control workflow, but how does it actually work in practice?

Ben breaks it all down in this new episode, showing how previs can speed up your setup and keep your shots consistent from concept to capture.

Tune in to see how it is done.
