Hi everyone.
This one's off to Richmond tomorrow.
I've some nice pieces nearly done, pictures soon.
Oh! Before I forget, our little community has reached 2000.
I don't monetise the page, but it's nice to see such interest.

Happy Sunny Saturday, everyone.
This one went to its new home yesterday evening.
Five more pieces off next week.
It's almost like we still have an economy.🤣
Anyone for an outdoor less at the end of May?
Learn the basics, get a tan, and not leastly indulge in the tranquility of Radford Mill.

Please wait to be seated.
The front set (Kofod Larsen for G Plan) are already sold.
The other set are curious. Very well made with flat section front legs. I'd guess Swedish or Norwegian.
That's it for this evening.

A van load off to Spain.
I'm keeping my other workshop on for another month because people are buying again and I'm busy.
I'll put on a class late May if anyone's interested.
Saturday the 23rd or the 30th.
Anyone?

Hi everyone.
This one's for those that live on the lonely island of England.
Presently floating aimlessly on a sea of absurdity.

And now to the point.
Prices of everything have gone through the roof as we're all painfully aware.
However, B&Q stock and economy range of products from a company called Volden.
They have stripper, white spirit, epoxy resin, contact adhesive etc, all of which is fit for purpose and substantially cheaper than name brand products.
They're own brand coloured waterbased polyurethane is much cheaper too.
So...carry on restoring, just for less.
F**k the hash tags, I'm so done with algorithms.
Excuse the bad language, it's no often I resort to saying algorithm.
Enjoy your evening 😊 🌞

Where is everyone?
We're going through bizarre and difficult times, who'd deny that.
It's not a solution but if you are weighed down by all the nonsense going on in the world at the moment, pick up a small project to work on. A creative diversion that won't cost much will take your mind, if only briefly, off all the noise.
There's a peace in restoration.

Happy Easter.

Hi everyone.
Here's the tutorial about dealing with bumps, the bane of veneered furniture and anyone who restores it.
It's not guaranteed and will work to varying degrees depending on the profile of the bump/s.

I don't know if you've noticed 🤣but we are going through surreal and difficult times.
Stick together, and do my restoration, it's very calming in rough seas.

Good evening everyone.
I did a video today about bumps under the veneer and how to tackle them.
I'll post it tomorrow.
For now here's a few shots of today's activity.

Good evening.
So I'm giving notice on my little workshop, the one I intended to teach in. Sadly people don't seem to want to come for lessons. That tends to be the trend in poor economic times, which we are currently experiencing. I am keeping my other workshop going however, so there'll be plenty more mid century pieces to fawn over.
Just finished these drawers.
They were difficult, broken sliders, drawer recesses
ground down from being overloaded.
All better now.
Night, night 🌙
