Recent refurb: this well loved traditional armchair has been in my clients family for generations but needed a new seat. So new webbing, double cone hand tied springs (a whopping 9”!), coir fibre and hair, hand stitched and shaped. All finished in a velvet. Loved uncovering a past repair to the frame…look at the time someone’s taken over timber/joint repair ❤️

As a result of illness, I am running behind on my orders & have decided to close the workshop to appointments/assessments for a couple of weeks while I catch up. I’ll be working behind the scenes to fulfil bespoke upholstery orders and answer current queries. As a sole trader; furniture assessments, bespoke estimates, admin, pattern making, sewing, upholstery, fabric finding, supply & client liaisons, day to day business “stuff” (to name a few things) all adds up to a busy day. If one ball too many is dropped when under the weather, the ball pit overflows! Thank you to all my current and future clients for their understanding and patience.

The cutest of all! Vintage child’s chair refurbed for the little one’s 1st birthday, courtesy of Nan 💙. It first belonged to Nan when she was little, then passed down to mum & now for the little man. Hopefully it should last another 3 generations! ♻️
