The combination of warm cream and walnut combined with a transfer of grand flowers, vines and birds creates a harmonious and elegant look.

Dating from around the 1960s, this sewing table now exudes timeless charm, blending mid-century clean lines with contemporary flair. The oak top and legs have been stained in a deep walnut making the table a classy unobtrusive piece of furniture.

This style icon from last century has been refinished with a modern twist whilst retaining its original design. A warm grey with brown undertones has been offset against walnut handles and trim.

Wow! What can I say? Olivia's Sherlock Holmes idea was quite the challenge! But she took a very old piece of furniture and kept it feeling old whilst making it new. A huge achievement. And she's only 10! It's moments like these that make my upcycling workshops worthwhile. A joy.

♻🎨🌷 Why have dreary utility storage when you can have this 'new' spring-fresh pretty oak cabinet? Painted in a range of blues with a textured linen effect and adorned with a mass of dog roses, this cabinet will brighten up even the darkest corner of a room.

The solid oak top has been stripped, nourished and waxed to add an air of country style. Sparce touches of gold pick up the recessed edges of the door and panels plus the floral door k**b, rescued from an earlier upcycled piece, has been finished in the same gold gilding wax. Just enough to add interest without overwhelming. The interior has been refreshed in a sage grey plus the lock and key work! I've shown the before picture for interest.

Join us for Cakes and Crafts at Wingrave Community Centre on Saturday, 1st June from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm.

There will be a selection of cakes, traybakes and scones, plus a few savoury options too, as well as vegan and gluten-free bakes. All courtesy of Baked by Alice Louisa. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available for a donation to the British Heart Foundation.

I will be doing a furniture upcycling demonstration, from start to finish - hopefully within the timeframe! A perfect opportunity to see what you could learn at one of Upcycle Arcade and Young Upcyclers furniture upcycling workshops. There will also be upcycled furniture for sale.

Jody's Camps International Cambodia Trek Expedition 2024 will be selling her handpoured scented candles and homemade embroidered cushions raising funds for her school trip to Cambodia in July.

There will also be crocheted items plus vintage tea cups for sale. Plenty of gift ideas. So come along to Wingrave for cakes and crafts!
