Street harassment is a behavior boys learn, but it can be unlearned through education. “In order to be accepted by other man you should behave like other man”, that’s the main problem with harassment, man copy each other disrespecting woman proving that way their “manhood”. But what if man start listening more to other man that respect woman?Then, they will be encouraged to behave well. We can be male allies if we lead by example through spreading the message that women deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and through showing other man how we should behave.

El acoso callejero es un comportamiento que los chicos aprenden, pero lo pueden desaprender. “Para ser aceptados por otros hombres, tenes que comportarte como un hombre”, ese es una de los principales problemas del acoso callejero, los hombres se copian entre si faltándole el respeto a las mujeres demostrando así lo “macho” que son. ¿Pero que sucede si los hombres empiezan a escuchar a otros hombres que si respetan a las mujeres? Entonces, van a ser alentados para comportarse correctamente. Podemos ser hombres aliados si predicamos con el ejemplo expandiendo el mensaje de que las mujeres merecen ser tratadas con dignidad y respeto mostrándole a otros hombres como comportarse.
