We are heading into Winter, not the best time of the year, although we have had sunshine and temperatures reaching the low 20’s, with colourful autumn leaves every where.
On a lighter note, it means that Christmas is just around the corner, and although very commercialised nowadays, one can still find the magic of it, if you use your imagination.
Christmas markets, bright lights and the expectant joy on children’s faces.
After Christmas we turn the corner and look forward to Spring, with it’s re-growth and lighter nights. Be positive and look forward and enjoy every day.

Well another summer almost done, where people have enjoyed the pool, clubhouse events and the general relaxed atmosphere about the place. Although we are almost in the autumn, we are still experiencing temperatures in the 30’s, with lovely sunny days. A glass or two on the deck overlooking the view and watching the sun go down is one of those pleasures in life for the old and young alike.
The park is looking beautiful, and with the addition soon, of flowering shrubs and trees it will be a little bit of paradise.
Life is pleasant here, in a part of the World with many towns and villages full of history, ancient traditions and delicious food and wine. I can think of no place better to spend your retirement.

The good weather is back, and despite the storm, the sunflowers are out. We have a good many holiday makers onsite, creating a wonderful atmosphere in the clubhouse last night.
All is peaceful and harmonious onsite. Some are swimming, others are sat on their decks with a glass of wine or two, and others are just chilling in the comfort of their homes.
It is difficult to fault the lifestyle here, with magnificent views of the French countryside around us, a large swimming pool to cool off in when it gets too hot. A poolside fridge stocked with cool drinks and ice creams to enjoy whilst sunbathing. A clubhouse with it’s own lending library, chocolate and crisps for sale, and many events to enjoy with friends.
We have a good community that helps each other when needed, so have a relatively stress free life. Not everyone would like the peace and quiet and easy living, but we enjoy it and so are very content.

After the most violent storm ever seen in the area, things have settled down and peace reigns. There was some damage to a few trees, and to buildings, but nobody was injured and all animals were safe. There was devastating crop damage to vines, sunflowers and corn, but fairly localised, and some may recover.
We are getting more summer visitors, who are enjoying the pool, the bar and sone entertainment. There is a barbecue on Sunday, which will be enjoyed by many residents, and there are many local events planned in the surrounding towns and villages which are usually good fun.
It gives us the chance to mix with the locals, enjoy music in some cases, and of course the many delightful delicacies to eat and of course there is always the local wine and cognac.
Life is good here and long May it continue.
