“Royal China at Azad Maidan is one of those rare Mumbai institutions that has stayed relevant by never trying to reinvent itself. The room is calm, elegant, and timeless, with crisp tablecloths, low lighting (looks the same lunch or dinner), and service that feels quietly confident.

The food is precise and consistent. Perfectly folded dim sum, delicate har gow, slow cooked roast meats, and some of the best Cantonese style seafood in the city. It is not trying to be modern or theatrical, and that is exactly its strength. This is old school fine dining done properly, and it remains the benchmark for “Indian Chinese” food in Mumbai.”

He does everything at SORA. The food is beautifully composed around what is most in season, light, fresh and vivid. It brings together his fine-dining training, California ingredients and Turkish roots. We loved our meal and cannot wait to return.”

“Wolfsbane is a thrilling new tasting-menu restaurant in a seductive Dogpatch space. It opened in October 2025 from Carrie and Rupert Blease, the couple behind the now-closed Michelin-starred Lord Stanley, together with chef Tommy Halvorson.

With superb cocktails and wine pairings, it’s the whole package, with “wow” moments abounding, from caviar nori “boats” enlivened by green apple and maple, to butter-poached green cabbage lathered in house buttermilk, dill oil and uni bottarga.”
