V2 of the storage box.

For this version I reduced the number of connection points, which made the piece feel a lot calmer and easier to understand.

The structure is simpler, the assembly is more intuitive, and it now has the rhythm I’ve been looking for.

A few small tweaks left to make, but it’s getting there.

Prototype wood series continues.

I wanted to test how to give MDF some of the visual material qualities of wood for prototype use.

I traced a wood grain pattern in Illustrator and used a laser cutter to engrave it onto the surface of MDF, shifting the pattern slightly with every piece.

Then painted the panels with leftover paints I had in the workshop.

At first the idea was simply to make prototype material feel a bit softer and less anonymous, but the process might grow into a series of its own.

Thoughts from the studio

A stackable storage box developed using standard threaded k***s and simple sheet materials.

The idea was to create a structure that could be assembled without tools, while making the assembly logic a visible part of the object.

FRAME bed

A bed frame with an integrated headboard, built from a small number of solid wood parts.

The structure is connected with internal table top connectors, allowing the frame to be assembled and taken apart while keeping the construction visually quiet.

Available in widths ranging from 90 cm to 180 cm.

FRAME bed is a made-to-order, solid wood bed frame with an integrated headboard.

A soft curve is introduced into the otherwise straight form, making it comfortable to lean against and giving the bed a calm, grounded presence.

The bed is built from a small number of parts, connected with internal table top connectors. This keeps the construction visually quiet while allowing the bed to be assembled and taken apart when needed.
