“The First” is a sci-fi animated short by Portuguese filmmaker Tiago Iúri. Set in a devastated world, the story follows a solitary survivor trapped inside a silent house, navigating the echoes of a shattered Earth.

A visually atmospheric exploration of isolation, survival, and human resilience — blending minimalism, emotion, and haunting worldbuilding.

Established in 2000 by the American Tortoise Rescue, this day reminds us of the importance of defending vulnerable ecosystems and the species that depend on them.

At Movilfest, we believe creativity can inspire awareness and action. Stories, images, and films have the power to amplify the voices of those protecting our planet.

Today, we are sharing the work of Damian Velasco / 大面, Digital Artist and Creative Director based in Shanghai. Blending realism with surrealism, Damian crafts immersive digital worlds that spark emotion, reflection, and a deeper connection with nature and the environment.
