Venetian Peacock Mask
In our last trip to Venice, we came across this beautifully detailed hand-painted Venetian Mask, that brings you to the reverly of Il Carnevale de Venzia.
The Peacock is a symbol of pride, beauty and strength; the Rose represents passion and temperance; and the Butterfly over the eyes represents the soul transformation and growth.
My hubby AbdelRahman Rady loved it from the first sight and decided to make a special art work to adorn it, and capture its beauty.
This time, He was the Maestro and the master mind 😄
We used a combination of chalk paints, White Linen, Duck Egg and Aubisson Blue. Then added paste, decoupage and stencilled it with Golden, Copper, and Navy Blue acrylic paints.
And to finish the look , we used an old broken frame that I've recently fixed and upcycled.
Et voilà, it turned out to be a stunner 😍😍.
