In response to the global call for climate action and in fulfillment of our corporate sustainable development strategy, our company formulated a clear roadmap – carbon peaking by 2028, a 50% carbon reduction by 2035 and operational carbon neutrality in our business operations by 2050 – when constructing our new plant in 2021. As a major initiative to achieve these goals, we have been consistently advancing the green upgrade of the plant’s energy structure, with distributed photovoltaic power generation as one of our core pillars.
In 2023, we leveraged the abundant rooftop resources of our plant to build a photovoltaic power station. By 2025, the annual actual power output of the station has reached 1.5 million kWh, which covers approximately 40% of our annual electricity demand in terms of overall power consumption structure. Each year, this power station helps us reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 713 metric tons, equivalent to the annual carbon sink of more than 65,000 trees planted. This tangible carbon emission reduction has made a pivotal contribution to the company’s achievement of its phased climate targets.
Going forward, we will further strengthen our energy management system. We will continue to tap into the renewable energy potential of our own plant premises, and actively explore innovative models including direct green power trading and the application of diversified energy storage technologies. We aim to build a more flexible and resilient green energy supply system, and steadily stride towards a carbon-neutral future.
