FR : Joël Mpah Dooh est un artiste camerounais qui vit et travaille à Douala. Il s’exprime à travers la peinture, la sculpture et la gravure, et divers matériaux. Ses œuvres, qui mêlent mystère et familiarité, explorent la fragilité humaine et la résilience.
Il a réalisé plusieurs expositions individuelles et collectives en Afrique et à l’international, participant à des événements majeurs tels que la Dubaï Art Fair et la Biennale de La Havane, ainsi qu’à des résidences artistiques.
Dans cette œuvre « Yo’ sur son vélo », Joël Mpah Dooh offre à son petit-fils un lien d’amour et de tendresse. L’artiste célèbre ainsi la force et la fragilité de l’enfance.
