refers to how it’s installed. Large grey panels were built offsite and precision installed. As they were 12’ ceilings and we didn’t want too much displacement in a busy household. On-site panels during construction and / or renovations are easier as we are not too concerned about dust, paint and so on. Accent colours, paint sheens and or complementary materials to fill the panels really help the WOW factor.

Beautiful tiled spaces with heated floors amongst layered trim and bold colour palette. How fast I can wreck the vision if I were to follow the old bones and walls of the house. require a different approach to adding new into old. NEW 2pc 12” baseboard cut to follow floor level, and tile border. Precision in a absolutely non precision environment. I’m not production motivated by time and money…I see only the finish at the start and always follow the correct aesthetic.

Stunning long weekend . We had the pleasure to be a big part of this project, and wanted to share a series of what was done, for whom, and, in some cases, the technical hows.

Client says "We want a bar that will be the focal point for entertaining. It has to be functional and it has to impress". Through a series of illustrations and conversations to facilitate the design process we certainly achieved these objectives. American Walnut, in a combination of solids and book-matched veneers creates loads of interest. Along with ceramic waterfall countertop, makes for a seamless blend. What an awesome way to utilize an empty niche are

Bunky Pod complete ... super cool oasis to read, relax, reflect and of course sleep. Gives a new meaning to “go to your room” facepanel...finished with 5x coats of SuperSatin. Local mill would be proud to see what we have done with his fallen cherry trees. Stairs from same supplier in Walnut, with book-matched center grain...look close as we masked off no slip sand treads between coats of varnish. Colour selection for the risers were meant to be neutral but bold, giving life and strong character back to to the heavy wood influence. s**g and bean chair soften and cozy up the space.

Commissioned by for a donor. We were given little information about the donor other than “she loves art”. In this case the art department needed a better solution to bring art to various parts of the building. In keeping with simplicity and mobility as the main design criteria...I let my creativity take over. On presenting first draft...no changes were made, and excitement began. Loaded, this just seems to glide on the large sealed bearing casters. structure, solid edging, and clear coated made for a solid build, yet kept the overall weight and mass down.

Phase II on the “Bunky Pod”. Keeping it simple...well my simple. Includes offcut pieces of Walnut and Cherry backers, plus some spray painted Antique Bronze, and Matte Black to create interest around the Satin clear coated raw MDF. MDF(medium density fibreboard) is usually finished in a lacquered colour...it’s a paint grade material. I chose the raw look though so we can add accents in the unit and in the room rather than commit to a single colour that will dominate the small space. Anyone want to guess on the potential hiding spots? Pine slats in, and temporary railing guard for now. Still a work in progress... @ Dundas, Ontario

Illustrations are an integral part of my process. First listening to the client vision and expectations to understand the parameters I need to work within during the design process. Through illustrations I am able to communicate designs and often variations of the same concept to help clients complete their own visual. Nothing beats having completed the actual project and have client say “wow...this is better then what I envisioned”. Better known as the WOW-Factor ... this is what motivates me and builds more confidence in pushing the boundaries of design. . @ Dundas, Ontario

Odd spaces? . Large square footprint but limited wall space. We can help you create a good plan from an original bad plan. Movable upholstered benches with accented bead board coat hanging provides valuable and usable space that often doesn’t exist in this typical upper mid-town style home . @ Dundas, Ontario

In these uncertain times we all need to evaluate how to navigate through this ...and prepare for after this all clears up. Now is the ultimate creative challenge. We design/illustrate everything we make. We are a small business that takes pride in the quality of our work and the relationships we have built over the years. After a massive flood in the basement, this client asked us to recreate the wall unit. Understanding what worked and what didn’t helped us formulate a simple design. Considering the full 8’ ceilings and the overall mass of this piece I felt we could add some bling or big bold colours to set the tone...maybe even tie in with other favourite features of the room that were otherwise lost. @ Dundas, Ontario

Client wanted to upgrade to a more modern look. Out with the old in with the new. All cables hidden behind the feature wall running a cable chase for future needs. Too much shelving, or shelving at all can clutter a small space...always need to consider usage and overall functionality. Although this may look like a simple design...we tackled all the existing imperfections from a poorly built past. @ Dundas, Ontario
