I stumbled across a fab exhibition featuring iconic Canadian food packaging by the amazing , reinterpreted with Inuit language on them. It’s called ‘Let’s Go Quickstop’, a popular phrase in the northern territories that refers to grabbing food from a convenience chain of the same name. She says that these are all the products she grew up with, fondly remembering them on grandmother’s table. These are happy memories for me too, particularly Crosby’s - molasses cookies made by grandma. Packaging design is thought of as being fleeting & disposable, but these iconic designs become part of your own fond recollections. I would love to buy some of these if they ever become available as prints 😍 The whole exhibition made me smile

I’m not sure how I first heard about but I knew that some of my fave brands flew under their flag to name a few… so I attended the Yorkshire launch party yesterday at . It felt odd at first (shake hands? or not?) but great to see so many familiar & friendly faces. What a great movement and I can’t wait to get more involved

We always give each other ‘foodie’ stockings, full of new things to try (and beautiful packaging to inspire). This year offered some treats so we’ve broken into the cheese stash. Enjoying the last of the Port in my treasured 1959 Swedish smoked glasses (Mum’s 18th birthday gift!) Not a bad way to spend a cold foggy Boxing Day afternoon 🍷🧀

New work klaxon 📢 Leeds chef Nick Colley has big plans for his new venture The Leeds Deli based in Roundhay. He wanted a bold & contemporary ID which would contrast well with the urban industrial chic aesthetic of the space. We explored several variations of this approach, each time applying to external signage, packaging and a reuseable shopper to get a clear picture of how it would rollout. He loved the simple & graphic nature of the final choice and we plan to further explore diagonal line patterns and a playful tone of voice for the product range. It’s slated to open in spring 2021 - I’m really looking forward to developing their packaging & collateral as it grows. And of course becoming a patron myself, his pizzas are second to none 😍

A little bit in love with my delivery of that just arrived 😍 I’d stumbled across these online and LOVE the designs. You can’t seem to get them in the UK (!?) so a big thank you to for this birthday treat. I think I’ll need to visit their Antwerp shop when we can travel again - for design research purposes, obvs
