Got an idea, and picked up some narrow cupboard doors at the Restore. Printed and découpaged the country design on my curtains to give the doors a matching faux antique stained glass look. Super excited for this project that cost me under $10

It’s been a LONG time since I’ve flipped furniture, but this ugly pressed board side table got a “unicorn” makeover for my 5 year olds’ room.
I live in a 200 year old farmhouse so making things appear “aged” is lots of fun for me.
Check out the aged look on the sides and that dry brushing!
Also, I experimented with purple spray paint as the base and when it was fully dry, I would lightly spray a second coat,and dry brush the other colors over it. It built up the paint and gave it a thick texture like an antique.
Anyway, I love it 😆 I hope she does too!

I’m redoing my bathroom in kind of an aged/farmhouse/rustic theme. I’m kinda in love with how the mirror turned out.

This was my grandparents mirror from the 70s. It’s gaudy and no one else in the family wanted it when they passed. Except me.

I love it!

I’ve had it over a decade now and I’ve changed it a few times.

I found an old end table being discarded a few weeks ago, and drug it home. It had a mess of glue on the top so I took the iron to it. It was the perfect height for two little chairs that I had here, and the perfect addition for my 6 year old’s “Man Cave”. A fresh coat of paint, dry brushing and poly and voila! I added a “Dream and Create” custom decal. Our kid’s LEGO tote has a cover that doubles as a LEGO base board. I added a Velcro strip to it and the table top so that the kids can have a secure LEGO building table, and when it’s finished, it can be removed and the LEGO put away. (My 4 year old was anxious to try it out before her brother got home from school lol)

Trash to treasure! Today we flipped a $30 Restore find for my little guys room! My toddler helped me sand it and my 5 year old unscrewed all the hardware while I dry brushed the entire thing lightly (the wood grain still shows through) so I could spray paint the handles. Teamwork pays off! It’s beautiful and now I’m sad it will be in his room with a bunny cage on top 😂 It’s huge-measuring at 17x58”!! Sealed with semi gloss lacquer. This piece is a keeper!!!

I had this idea in the winter for a tiny vanity for my girlie’s room. As her bedroom is very small, an actual vanity wouldn’t work. I scoured the buy and sell sites and found these three “treasures” and got to work painting and assembling. Finally sealed it tonight. She loves it! What do you think?
