🖤These are the ways that Covid-19 has affected us.
For some of us, we lost our incomes, or jobs.
Essential workers had stress levels through the roof from their workload.
Some of us missed getting medications filled.
Some of us missed mental health check ins.
Some people were made to question our own beliefs,
of the world.
Of science.
Of society.
Through this pandemic, we have had A-LOT to be less-than-thankful for.
But as Deepak Chopra has stated:
“Peace comes from peaceful people, not from angry people demanding peace”
So...
This Thanksgiving, Let’s look at 2020, from a altered viewpoint. Let’s see it for the diamond in the rough.
For the gift that it has given us, of quiet. Of isolation. Isolation provides us with insight. Thought. Getting to know oneself. Falling in love with ourselves. Realizations.
The gift of family. Quality time. Laughs, cry’s.
Maybe your failed homeschooling attempt wasn’t really failed at all... maybe it gave you the opportunity to check-in with where your child is. Where their strengths and weaknesses are.
It gave us the gift of respect. Respecting others jobs. Stay at home moms and dads finally had a full time partner. The working partners finally got to see what “staying at home” entails.
It gave us a strong sense of community. Leaving painted rocks along paths, trails, and on window ledges let us know others are thinking of us. Reminded us to “smile” or “this too shall pass”. Children sending “care packages” to their friends. Flowers, “I miss you” cards.
So.. 2020 has been a year. But it’s impact on your life, is determined with whether you will be PEACEFUL, or ANGRY.
