ompetitions. About Lisa: Lisa has been involved with horses all of her life. As a pre teen she started competing in gymkhanas. Since than she has done a little showing and enjoys hours of trail riding. Her new interest is getting cow events (cutting, working horse & ranch horse competitions) off of the ground in her area. Photography interest started as a hobby when Lisa was in her late teens when her now husband had given her, her very first film SLR camera. After becoming married and having two children the interest increased since a camera seemed to be attached to her, taking pictures of every moment and milestone of the two little ones. She decided to use her passion and started taking pictures for clients and at events in 2008. She has taken pictures for the Manitoba Rodeo Cowboys Association in 2007- 2011. Lisa has had pictures published in local calendars as well as Manitoba’s Rodeo Associations newspaper “The Cowboy”. In 2011 Lisa was the official photographer for the Canadian High School Cutting Finals in Virden, Manitoba. It was a great experience and so much fun. Lisa's newest venture is designing website banners, business cards and logos for clients. Be sure to check out the 'Design Gallery' for some examples of Lisa's designing work. To Lisa, photography is more than a job. It is her passion as she strives for excellence in that one “perfect shot”.

We are ready to capture all your moments this weekend at the MQHA Summer Sizzler! ☀️📸

The weather is looking beautiful, and we can’t wait to see everyone in and out of the arena.

We will have backdrop photos set up throughout the weekend. I won’t have a helper at this show, so thank you in advance for your patience while I bounce between candids, action shots, and backdrop photos. Pictures can be taken between classes, during breaks, or whenever there’s a little downtime — just flag me down! 😊

The cheering from these little girls absolutely warms my heart. ❤️🐎

Watching them cheer on their mom and auntie with so much excitement and pride is such a reminder that barrel racing is about so much more than the run itself. It’s about family, support, and the memories being made along the way.

The 2026 Rope & Race weekend has come to an end, and what a great weekend it was!

A huge thank you to the committee for hiring Countrified Photography as the Official Photographer for your incredible event. This was my first year attending, and I had such a great time capturing all the action and moments throughout the weekend.

It’s clear how much dedication, hard work, and passion goes into putting on a top-caliber event for contestants, spectators, and everyone involved. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed — I’m already looking forward to next year!

Over the next few days, I’ll be editing photos and adding them to the website for viewing. As galleries are finished, I’ll be sharing direct links in my stories, so make sure to keep an eye on those!
