Hi, I’m Kaitlyn! I’m the owner and furniture refinisher behind Who Wooda Thought.

I started refinishing furniture a couple of years ago, mostly because I genuinely loved taking something old, dated or headed for the garbage and figuring out what I could turn it into. Somewhere along the way, it went from something I enjoyed doing to something I was doing every day — and eventually, my own business.

I’m completely self-taught. I’ve learned through doing, making mistakes, trying again, researching, and refinishing a LOT of furniture.

I’m also a mom of two, I work out of my home garage, and most days you’ll find me covered in sawdust, paint, or stripper — usually all three.

I definitely don’t have some fancy perfect workshop or a huge team behind me. It’s really just me, my garage, and a business that has grown a lot faster than I ever expected.

And that’s a big part of why I wanted to start teaching — because I remember how overwhelming furniture refinishing felt when I was first trying to figure all of this out.
