We’re back! After an extended hiatus we are excited to announce we are opening up shop and accepting new commissions.

The time away has been spent refocusing our efforts on providing one of a kind, handcrafted custom boxes.

We specialize in watch collection displays, memory/keepsake boxes and humidors but love discussing all of your custom box / display needs. If you can dream it we can build it!

Reach out to us via email ([email protected]) or through direct message and let’s talk boxes!

*Unfortunately at this time we are not currently accepting new furniture commissions.

I’ve been really interested in secret/hidden compartments in box making lately. I had the opportunity to build a humidor and wanted to have some fun with them.

The result was this Walnut humidor with Osage Orange inlays/splines and Spanish Cedar.

The interior has no finish or glue (everything is pressure fit) to protect against cross contamination. It also has three hidden magnetic compartments as well as a hygrometer.

I could stare at this 3” thick Olivewood coffee table for hours (and have).

There is so much character and interesting details through out this round. Possibly the coolest piece of wood I’ve had the pleasure of working on.

Deep epoxy pour to fill two large voids and all cracks.
I also spent way too much time figuring out a mold to compliment the existing curvature of the piece.

Going to be sad to see this one go.

This Myrtle Wood slab is all finished and heading to it’s new home this week!

There is so much character and so many interesting details on this slab that photos just don’t do it justice.

Here’s a look at some of the prep work in between coats of finish.

There’s more to finishing then just brushing something on. In this particular case between each coat I’m abrading with 320 grit then clearing the dust with a damp cloth.

This project requires 2 under coats (6-8hr dry time between coats w/ 24 full cure) and 4-5 top coats (2-4hr dry times, 1 week full cure.)

Good finishing takes time but the end result is worth every moment.

Putting the first coat of finish on this custom watch box.

Walnut with African Mahogany, Maple and a Chaos Pattern inlay with too many woods to list.
