Refinished Vintage Sideboard/Buffet - SOLD

The first picture of the sideboard/buffet is AI generated staging.

This all-wood sideboard/buffet can be used in a dining room, hallway or living space. The body has been painted in Fusion’s Bayberry, a deep muted olive green, and has been finished with Fusion’s Cappuccino stain and finishing oil for added protection and a bit of sheen. The dovetailed drawers have been lined and the hardware has been updated to lovely antique gold k***s.

Wooden End Tables - SOLD
The base of these pretty wooden end tables has been painted in Fusion’s Goddess Ashwagandha, a grounding off-white neutral. The tops have been given a faux stained look using Cappuccino stain and finishing oil which also provides enhanced protection. The original metal pulls complete the piece. 24” W x 21” H.

Here are a few pieces I've recently finished. Green is in right now so I painted the tables in Fusion's Bayberry which is a deep muted green. The smaller table was a Bombay table and it sold in less than a day. The second table is solid hardwood. The top was damaged so I sanded it and stained it in Special Walnut by Minwax to bring out the original details.

The tall cabinet is quite an old piece and had been used as a secretary desk. I kept the piece rustic by adding an antiquing glaze over a warm neutral beige paint colour. It's so nice for these older pieces to be refurbished so they can be enjoyed for many more years.

Beautifully refinished solid wood Bassett sideboard for hallway, dining room or living space. The body has been painted in Algonquin (Fusion) and raised stencils added to the drawer fronts. The top has been painted in Chocolate and finished in Cappuccino stain and finishing oil for added protection. The dovetailed drawers slide perfectly and new hardware has been added to fit the updated piece.

This solid wood table has been painted in Fusion's Renfrew Blue which is a bold and radiant hue of blue. Teal in tone, this colour adds personality and style to any room. (It's the same colour as the dresser in my cover photo). The entire piece has been finished with a natural stain and finishing oil for a slight sheen and added durability. This beautiful set of solid wood tables have been given an update in Fusion’s Ash, a dark charcoal grey, and the top has been done in a combination of two of Fusion’s Stains and Finishing Oils - Ebony and Driftwood – for a unique look and an extra level of protection. The back of the cubby has been painted in Hazelwood, a deep warm grey, which gives a nice contrast to the Ash. These neutral pieces offer lots of storage and would work well as side tables or night tables. (Sorry, forgot to take a before picture!)

This stunning solid hardwood piece has been finished in Fusion's Raw Silk, a warm white, and the top has been finished with Fusion's Golden Pine Stain and Finishing Oil over the Raw Silk. The original hardware is stamped metal and the drawers are double dovetailed and slide beautifully.

Making Old Pieces Beautiful Again

My name is Sally Cousland, and I am the owner and artisan at Past to Present Pieces. Reviving these older furniture pieces is a true passion of mine, and it's extremely important to me that the finished work is of a high quality. When sourcing pieces I look for unique, well-built furniture and accent pieces that with some TLC will be repurposed to become vibrant and useful again. Depending on the piece, I try to maintain a bit of its history and keep a reminder of its previous life in tact.
