It began a couple of years ago when I purchased my first piece of furniture to refinish for $5.00 online. It's a solid wood, tabletop magazine rack that was very outdated but had tons of potential to be modernized. Once completed, it looked entirely different; new and beautiful. I knew from that point that I wanted to work on more pieces to see where it would take me. Shortly after, I took an intr
oductory workshop which taught me the basics of working with chalk paint, light and dark waxes, and their possibilities. Now, I experiment on my own, and gained confidence in selling small to medium sized home decor items to collectors of distressed pieces. More recently, I've decided to work with individuals looking for pieces of their own that need to be brought back to life. Maybe a piece you have is a tad outdated? Or it needs new color and finishing? That's where I would come in to help out. I know it's difficult to part ways with items which is why this service is meaningful. Mistakes, trial and error, and of course, hours of frustration have all been a part of this process and I'm sure there will be more of this in the future. Not everything will go as planned, which is all part of this learning experience! I've met wonderful people along the way. I sincerely look forward to gaining new customers, and hoping to have previous buyers return for other pieces of interest.
