Good news in the job markets, especially youth employment, which led the job gains. A large percentage of the job gains were in part time, but it's important to remember that many part time workers are by choice (although not all). On the flip side, this has increased the value of our dollar and interest rates and that has decreased the likelihood that the Bank of Canada will ease the overnight rate when they meet this month.
