Why LittleStep Co. ?

The idea of LittleStep Co. began when we had our son. I immediately started dreaming up things I wanted for him and in our home to accommodate him. I began my ‘toddler tower’ search and was unable to find a stool that had everything I wanted! The male counterpart to LittleStep Co. (my husband Chris) is handy and so I gave him the task of building one (he likes to take a lot of coffee breaks, so of course I had to give it to him ASAP so it would be ready in time for Cooper to use *haha). After building a prototype and going back and forth on our likes and dislikes we realized how much we like creating together. Our friends and family showed immediate interest and loved the idea, VOILA! The idea was born and we ran with it. Today we launched and it has reinforced why we did it, we aren’t the only ones who want a streamlined, well- crafted, safe, beautifully painted/stained, IKEA hack free stool. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good IKEA hack, but local and handmade is what we want to offer!
