30‑litre Mitsubishi S6R2 engine swap for Marine Atlantic’s MV Leif Ericson.

Stage one of this project is now complete. We removed one of the emergency generator engines and installed the spare engine back into service aboard the vessel.

The removed engine has been transported to our shop, where it will undergo a complete overhaul before being delivered back to Sydney as the new spare unit.

CAT 3126 overhaul for a Halifax Harbour Hopper unit.

At Oceanside Diesel, all overhauls are completed using the correct tooling and built to OEM standards. We hold every rebuild to the same high standard with no compromises.

For this CAT 3126, that included proper specialty tooling for injector installation, synchronization, and fuel rack timing.

Overheating issue above 1600rpm with a Doosan L136TI.
Diagnosed and replaced a faulty thermostat.
Engine now staying cool allowing our customer to save time steaming and avoiding further issues during the busy season.

Out in the storm last week to flush our customer’s Racor fuel filter system.

Late night for Oceanside Diesel testing a repair on the fire water pump.

Not our typical engine job but happy to help get this unit back in service.

The main valve from the water tank was damaged and leaking causing the water pump housing to fill up, freeze and crack.

We removed the fire water pump and tank valve. Installed a new ball valve kit and had the cast aluminum housing welded up before reinstalling for our customer.

Doosan L136TI engine alignment out of Port Mouton.

We aligned, shimmed and mounted the engine dry before returning to complete final checks and adjustments with the boat in the water.

John Deere 6068TFM50 pictures from a recent overhaul.
Engine failure due to loss of oil pressure and failed safety alarms.

We had the damaged crankshaft crack tested and ground to meet undersize specifications saving our customer from purchasing an expensive new part or possibly a new engine.

This engine required a complete overhaul before delivering back to our customer for installation, final adjustments and sea trials.
