Another Dining Table and Bench project using a Trestle Style base. This is a modern version of a Medieval building method, where the tabletop comes off and the base comes apart . Usefull for fleeing your advancing enemies with some hastily loaded household goods on your ox drawn wagon.
Very handy in civilised times for squeezing in as many friends around the table without having 4 legs in the way on the corners.

Project designed,built and installed in the old York Street School, now converted to Condos. Floor to ceiling Cherry bookcases, 6' wide x 11'high, with all adjustable shelving. Two of these built for this space.
In the basement of this building ,when it was a school, was the woodworking shop. In the 1940's , my Dad was in high school and built a boat in this shop !

Past Projects- May 2018. Birch Dining table and Bench for Jeff and Karla. Delivered during the peak of the flood that year, with the waters lapping at their front porch door.
There is a small box built under the table top which contains a few tools needed for dissassembly, when the table needs to be moved in 40 years. And a Time Capsule with a copy of the Daily Gleaner newspaper from the day of delivery. Imagine ...news written on paper and thrown in your driveway !
