Hello Again!

Sometimes things don’t go as planned 🤪
Today we had to temporarily close the kiosk. A simple-ish explanation -

Cookies are a Schedule B food and can be sold at markets and temporary carts because of their stable shelf life and no need for refrigeration. This is the way we normally sell - other than when we sell out of the cafe where the cookies are produced. This establishment has its own permit and our baker has their food safety 👌

Our hiccup - was not realizing that although there is no food production happening in the kiosk - and even though the cookies are still Schedule B - we require a specific permit to be able to continue selling you kiosk cookies.

And this permit is already in the pipeline!! We have been assured they are trying to expedite as best as possible.

Will be announcing our GRAND RE-OPENING soon!

We apologize for any inconvenience.

We will be open til 6pm today at and is all stocked up with goodies as well ✨

Hello Dartmouth 👋

We are back on this side of the harbour today all set up at until 1pm! The tent is up this weekend, a sure sign that summer is on the way 🤗

Howard will be at today from 1030-3 and then I’ll be taking over until close at 6pm! ✨

And of course is all set up with lots of goodies, books and the best coffee.

Sorry to keep you waiting friends- not gonna lie I’ve been overthinking this post all week and how to share my news with you in some cool social media way. 😅

…and then it took me forever to edit a video and I don’t have another week to overthink this so here we are just winging it over here friends, hope you like my video montage with my big news.

I’m so beyond grateful for this opportunity to have my own little space in . 🥹🤯

Sometimes opportunities come along when you least expect, and when offered a business opportunity like this I couldn’t say no.

Moments like this are kind of a surreal pinch me feeling because I still feel like an imposter in this business world. I never want to come on here with just my highlights and not share my whole story because it’s taken a lot of work outside of the kitchen to get here.

I love cookies don’t get me wrong but for me it’s always been more than that. When I started my business I was in a pretty broken place and I wanted to create a safe, comfortable working environment for myself and learn how to put myself out in the world again, comfortably.

That version of me, the girl who started baking cookies with no idea of what she was doing definitely would not have imagined having a mall kiosk on spring garden road!

The biggest thank you to all of you, for showing up and supporting me, following my page and most importantly creating a welcoming safe space for me- this community has taught me that there is so much good in the world, and there are good supportive people that will accept you as you are.

We are going to be doing a soft opening this weekend Friday, May 1st 10:30-9 and Saturday 10:30-6.

Still working on getting all my fancy business things setup so stay tuned for more details on a grand opening date but for now here are our hours for the kiosk-

Tuesday 10:30-6
Wednesday 10:30-6
Thursday & Friday 10:30-9
Saturday 10:30-6

Stop by if you’re in downtown Halifax and grab some books, coffee and treats- support your local bookstore.

🔱 Trident’s been one of the longest running bookstores in the city and for good reason, I may be biased but I think it has some of the coziest, warmest vibes in the city ✨

Hi friends! We are all set up until 9pm tonight at Park Lane Mall with Neighbourly Markets for their First Thursday’s market series. Lots of lovely vendors and fun things to check out if you’re in the downtown area tonight definitely pop in 👌

My lovely friend Howard is taking over for me tonight so he will be there for all your cookie needs 👋 🍪

is also stocked up this weekend with lots of cookies if you find yourself on that side of the harbour.

I also have some lovely handmade Easter egg nests made by with real preserved eggs from her quails. The funds will go towards caring for her rescued birds 🤗
