We finally finished up our Shiplap feature wall last week, and it is everything we dreamed of.

We built a nice little cove behind the TV for a super clean mount and access to all of our wiring. A double plug for all the goodies, hidden access tube for future accessories plugged in to the right of the wall, and the super slick flush mounted below.
•
We added extra support in the framing between the TV and fireplace for a future mantle down the road.
•

The lower deck is finally complete!

Lots of hours went into removing all of the original 34 year old deck and rebuilding from the ground up.
•
An east facing window and existing concrete walkway were a few of the limiting factors in our redesign, but we love how it turned out.
•
The 7’ awning off of the garage adds a great space out of the rain, and our shade sail means no more fear of our umbrella taking off in the wind.
•
We added some vintage lights around the top structure and have them easily controlled via Wi-Fi on all of our devices too!
•
We’ll share more little items in the next few days, but want to thank everyone involved for all of their help!

Our lovely neighbours reached out a few weeks ago looking for a way to enclose the space below their deck and still have access for storage. They really wanted to incorporate some barn doors for added style as well as functionality.
•
We removed all of the old faded plastic lattice and were able to tie everything into their current structure.
•
Double sliding barn doors glide away to offer six feet of opening at full extension, and secure nicely with a heavy duty gate latch.
•
