Handcrafted Storage Trunk

Hit that LIKE button if you knew that a rustic finish was inevitable for this ‘Vintage Truck’ Storage Trunk 🙌 ( if you have been following for some time I expect to see your ‘like’ to this question 😉)

No question that Rustic finishes are my personal favourite. The way this Pine Cabinet responded to my Black wash, wet distressed finish with ‘knots’ shining through and sanding in all the right places created a look of time gone bye with stories to tell….Perfect! This Old ‘Vintage Truck’ looks like it was designed for this piece ❤️. Top was sanded and Aging accelerator applied which created a warm, multi toned shade. The interior was refreshed with a light sanding and wood oil.

If you are a fan of ‘upcycled’ pieces like I am how much do you love this versatile piece!

Created from a Vintage headboard, this piece could now be used in various areas as a stand alone Console or simply place behind a bed to continue using as a headboard. (No rails)

Painted in a beautiful, moody Green. Backing replaced and bottom shelf created with new plank wood and stained light Brown. This color combo is so soothing.

Aside from my passion for refinishing furniture, messages like this remind me of my ‘Purpose’. To create showcase worthy pieces from worn, outdated, but still functional furniture that you can be proud to display and use in your homes.

Knowing these dressers will be lovingly used in a Nursery makes my heart happy and definitely fills my purpose!

Thank you so much for your help with this. I truly am a fan of all three so going with a majority vote really helps this ‘indecisive’ artist out haha!
