Ariane van Dievoet - Design Studio

Ariane van Dievoet - Design Studio Designer and sculptor Ariane van Dievoet creates pieces from material off-cuts to highlight their texture and form. Materials and techniques lead the process.

Specialising in the reuse of architectural and production scraps, she combines traditional and digital techniques to make her designs. Repurposing construction materials allows me to reduce waste in the design process. I work with materials hands-on, exploring their constraints and possibilities. A lifelong learner, I constantly experiment with new techniques. Curiosity brings me to uncharted terr

itories and inspires new pieces. With the help of talented makers and collaborators, I have shaped wood, turned metal, polished stone, cut leather and so on. I juxtapose materials to best highlight their texture and shape, composing pieces with great attention to detail.

La Gadoue is a duo of designer-artists led by Audrey Werthle and Éloïse Maes.
At the crossroads of craft, design, and scenography, they explore light and material as a poetic, structural and political language. Their practice blends intuition and precision, colour and structure, hand and thought.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’ve been following for a while, you’ll be familiar with their impressive curtains and hangings made from fabric scraps. This year at collectible, we will also feature their ceramic work.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Stay tuned and visit us at , March 12-15 and at the gallery from March 20 to discover the duo’s recent work!

The connections, the connections, the connections.

Just loose enough for an easy fit, yet tight enough to keep everything secure.

Finding that sweet spot is key.

Thank you .reymond for the expert woodworking and for the waterjet cutter access!

“So, what’s with all the mirrors?” 🪞

In 2019 I started a collaboration with Obumex: they gave me access to their workshop waste materials and I created objects to exhibit in their Brussels showroom. I was expecting wood, brass and stone (through their provider ), but I wasn’t expecting the mirror Iended up bringing back.
I cut it down into a few circles to highlight the cracks on the stones I had selected a d the [Reflected Matter] series was born.

I’m exhibiting to pieces from this ongoing series at this week.
A third piece, Melissani, will be featured in the “What’s new in retail” section of the fair, curated by .

If you’re at the fair, come say hi! In the meantime, swipe for a selection of mirrors ⚡️
