Ariane van Dievoet - Design Studio

Ariane van Dievoet - Design Studio Designer and sculptor Ariane van Dievoet creates pieces from material off-cuts to highlight their texture and form. Materials and techniques lead the process.

Specialising in the reuse of architectural and production scraps, she combines traditional and digital techniques to make her designs. Repurposing construction materials allows me to reduce waste in the design process. I work with materials hands-on, exploring their constraints and possibilities. A lifelong learner, I constantly experiment with new techniques. Curiosity brings me to uncharted terr

itories and inspires new pieces. With the help of talented makers and collaborators, I have shaped wood, turned metal, polished stone, cut leather and so on. I juxtapose materials to best highlight their texture and shape, composing pieces with great attention to detail.

ENIPEAS continues my explorationof overlooked materials through reflection. Named after the Greek river god, it evokes Mount Olympus’ rocky gorges.

I designed it as part of the Fragments project, at the invitation of Respace and Whitewood. This wall mirror features travertine fragments from Centre Monnaie paired with a mirror salvaged from the Palmerston building, both projects by Whitewood. Clean lines and geometric shapes reflect natural imperfections, exploring materiality.

Where others see empty buildings, we see stories waiting to continue.
Every building carries memories: layers of lives, ideas, conversations, and transformations.

Yesterday, guests of ‘The Cookie Club’, one of Belgium’s most exclusive gatherings for the real estate community, received a piece of history they could hold in their hands.

As a special commission from our partner Whitewood, with whom we share projects such as (re)space EU Quarter, we were invited to (re)imagine the traditional event gift for this year’s gala. When they challenged us to create unique memorabilia for ‘The Cookie Club’, we saw an opportunity to do something different. Something more meaningful. Instead of producing another object, we decided to preserve a piece of history.

Together with a constellation of artists, makers and industry partners, we transformed materials recovered from iconic Brussels buildings into unique pieces carrying the memory of the places they came from. Materials that would otherwise have disappeared during renovation.

Travertine. Marble. Copper. Fragments of architecture reimagined as objects to keep, wear, collect and pass on.

The result is FRAGMENT: a series of unique artworks created by Ariane Van Dievoet, Romain Zacchi and LeSharp, accompanied by collectible pieces gifted to every guest.

A story you can hold in your hand.

A special thank you to our partners

La Gadoue is a duo of designer-artists led by Audrey Werthle and Éloïse Maes.
At the crossroads of craft, design, and scenography, they explore light and material as a poetic, structural and political language. Their practice blends intuition and precision, colour and structure, hand and thought.
