A few photos mid build session from last week. Just running this Tasmanian Oak through my thicknesser to get it nice and level. This piece was used for the base of an overhead cabinet in a laundry that has an LED strip channeled into it for some extra light in the space.

All came up pretty specky and I’m planning to post some more photos on that build soon as it’s near on wrapped up 💪🏼

Just a little gallery dump coming through on this laundry build 📸

Nearly at the end of this build and it’ll be nice to showcase it when it’s ready, but for now this shall do.

Solid Tas Oak bench top worked into the corner of this laundry to complement a little floral flashback and some stainless.

Cupboards still need some finishing in this space, so they’ll be showcased next when the time comes 👌🏼

Hey everyone! Just a little post coming to update you all with some of what’s been going on and what’s happening moving forward!

I’m excited to announce that I’ve made some adjustments in my full time work week and moving forward I will be going part time to be able to give the time needed to try and grow things here at Adryft 🍃

This idea has been something that I’ve really wanted to explore for a while now and its all a bit exciting to know that what the next chapter holds is space for Adryft to take on client work again with the really important aspect of having time mid week to give these builds the care and attention they require which in the past hasn’t always been the case 🍃

Here’s to a new chapter here at Adryft (also points to anyone who noticed a sneaky brand name change 👀)

Enjoy some progress snaps of this wall to wall vanity and I’ve also got some progress photos coming through on the laundry (same client) 😌

Admittedly I’m trying to tidy things up around here which means posting less, but when posts do come around they have more depth and in this my thoughts are that it’ll tidy up my story telling of each build as we go further along this year… it’ll also mean I’m not caught up in making heaps of posts which means more time to focus on the other bits 😌

Hey everyone, just another little post to help fill in some blanks with what’s been going on in the background here 😌

This is Finley one of my housemate’s pups, and Fin safe to say has been very busy with his modelling career to date 🐶

For some context, late last year I felt it was time to build Fin up a bed frame for his soft bed to sit on as between having his bed inside and out depending on where we were all hanging out, the floor space his bed went would always get super dirty, hence the idea to make a bed base to get him and his bed off the carpet… from here came the creation of Adryft’s first dog bed build with another style of bed on the way for another good friend 😌

Made out of Tasmanian oak and lined with a heavy duty shade cloth canvas, although there is some refinement to be done with the finer details, the foundation I feel is there and so far this bed is still going strong as I hope it continues to go strong for some time to come.

Although still early stages with this design, if you are interested in your own dog beg being built, do get in touch, I would be chuffed if I could help to elevate your pup’s comfort… and yes, I can and will personalise each bed by engraving your pooch’s name into the piece 🐶🐶🐶

Ps. I hope handmade life goods is starting to make some more sense 🤫🐶🐶

Hey everyone, just putting up some shots from a barn door build last month.

Not much really to tell on this one as the photos speak for themselves, but this one is made entirely out of Tas Oak and finished in evolution gloss finish.

Came up a treat and it looks unreal hung and being used in its forever home up in Melbourne.

Morning 😌

So today I’ve got more work to be done for this vanity, but for now please enjoy some process work in the form of a glue up from the other week.

This part of the build stage is an important window of opportunity for how a build turns out as far as being able to showcase all those speccy tones and details in the right places opposed to the wrong places.

This stage isn’t glamorous and it can get a lot messier than a lot of other stages along the way if you don’t have a good process with managing glue going everywhere (it’s a prick sometimes), but honestly it’s one of my favourite parts because if it’s done correctly, it will then reflect on later stages of the project in a good way… it’s also character building on the days it’s just a s**t show glue up session 👍🏼

Also the last image in this post is a sneak of some new marketing I’ve been cooking up. Taking a step back from focusing on just furniture and looking more towards life goods as this year I’ve got some personal builds I want to whip up that aren’t furniture… but more of that at some stage later on 🍩🍩🍩

Hey everyone, so it’s been a hot minute since I’ve touched base so I figured I’d kick the new year off doing just that… so hey hi hello this is me touching base 👋🏼

A lot has definitely changed around here. I’m now living down along the coast and working for a new shop repairing cars and as a result I’ve simply lacked the time and attention for the most part to be able to keep pushing this little project along… let’s just call this a hiatus that I’ve been on…

Behind the scenes though, I’ve moved a couple of houses last year which was crazy, but it all led me to landing in Jan Juc mid year. From there, allowing a few months to set up this new space while working away on a laundry renovation over at my parents place at the same time, the year just took off and now it’s 2025, ooofta.

Fast forward to now with my space being set up and that laundry being near on done, I can now start to set my sights on building their bathroom vanity which will kick start my story telling again with you all 📸

A few of these photos are the foundations for what this vanity will become and the other couple images are some snippets of what my new upgraded workspace looks like… tools, surfboards and all 😌

I’ve got some more pieces to share with you all as the year moves along but they will come in good time, for now though, to everyone along for the ride to date thank you and I hope moving forward things continue to build and grow into whatever this is meant to grow into.

Last few photos from my workshop session the other day, cutting down the arms for the wall mounted display system 😌

An ever growing concept for this system is figuring out how to make it work for more applications. So if you’ve got an idea for what this system could be used for, throw a comment down and let me know, all answers are good answers as far as I’m concerned 😌
