Edited to add: the Giant Vision Board mural is finished! We love it. Make sure you check it out!

The Maylands Street Festival isn't over!

During the Festival, we asked people what their vision was for the Maylands Town Centre in 2050.

World-renowned local artist, Kyle Hughes-Odgers, has taken the people’s visions as inspiration for a 'giant vision board' with his interpretation of the future of the Maylands Town Centre.

The mural depicts the community's key themes of the natural world, balance, community and vibrancy.

Here is Kyle in action. The mural is due for completion early to mid next week.

This project was made possible by the generous sponsorship of Australian Development Capital and permission to use the carpark from Maylands IGA Express.

If you are catching public transport to the festival tomorrow... Due to Metronet works on the Morley Ellenbrook line, there are rail replacement buses running from Perth Busport to Midland or High Wycombe.
