Term 3 homeschool classes are open for registration.

Classes start the week of 20 July at Woodchix Emu Plains.

Beginner classes available:
Mondays 12:30pm to 2:30pm (starts 20 July)
Tuesdays 12:00pm to 2:00pm (starts 21 July)

$220 for the term plus $10 per visit. Year 7 and above.

Places are limited and must be paid to secure your spot.

The good news? Term 3 and 4 dates are now open.

Our next three workshops available are:

10 to 14 August (Week 4)
7 to 11 September (Week 8)
21 to 25 September (Week 10)

All workshops are NESA accredited, 30 hours of PD, and built for TAS and Technology teachers who want to feel genuinely confident in the workshop.

A couple of recent workshop creations from one of our chix - Megan! 🦋🔨

1. The butterfly was cut on a scroll saw, showcasing the kind of delicate and intricate patterns you can achieve with a little patience and the right techniques.

2. The laundry benchtop started as pine sections picked up for just $10. After squaring, measuring, cutting, biscuit-joining and gluing, routed the edges, sanded everything smooth, then stained it to match the house before finishing it with Scandinavian oil. A simple project that adds both style and practicality to the space.

A little throwback worth sharing. 🪵💚

Last year our Chix got to do something pretty special. We partnered with WWF Australia, HP and ANU to build 166 nest boxes for endangered greater gliders in Toolangi, Victoria.

The forests there are too young to have formed tree hollows, so these gliders had nowhere safe to raise their young. Our Chix helped change that.

We are proud of every single box built. This is what happens when women show up with their hands and their hearts.
