I have been looking for over 2 years for a door to replace our ugly laundry door which I look at every day as its off the kitchen / family room. To say I’m super excited about how she looks is an understatement. The art deco door fits perfectly with our house.
Haha this is last room I have to paint and it’s given me the kick in the pants I need 😆

This linen fold African walnut dresser known as the stinky princess has been with me for 3 years waiting for her makeover.
I bought her with the intention of selling however have decided to keep her and she now lives in my spare/ guest room.
Good clean,sand and h**p oil applied. Wood conditioner and removal wallpaper added to drawers. Swapped out the claw and ball feet (wasn’t a fan ) and fun stripes painted on the top.
She’s no longer the stinky princess 😉

This bulky bedside was gifted to me a while back and I needed a bedside for my grandchildren’s room so in the spirit of using what I had on hand I took the base off and added bun feet,paintable wallpaper on the sides, fun half circle to the top drawer undercoated with stain blocker and painted in ochre, top stained with cappuccino, vintage pulls which I had lying around.

Not furniture related.
I have been working on the outside laundry which needed a lot of love (previous owners had been using for storage). My vision was to make this into a doggie wash room for our pampered pooches. I love the old cement laundry tubs which were covered in layers of old paint ( I forgot to take before pics ) the latest layer was a heritage red colour even the copper pipes were painted 😩..
After stripping the tub I found a date of manufacture 13/09/1943. The tub was stripped and sealed with Tung Oil.
The brick base was a heritage red colour and it got a new coat of paint in black.
I used tiles I had from my previous house and paint I had on hand for walls.
New hand held shower.
Floor was painted in checker board using concrete paint.
I absolutely love the way it turned out and it’s now a functional space in our new home.

It’s been a minute since completing any furniture…We have recently sold our home and bought a house built in the late 40s. A home with a soul which has been keeping me busy.. Just finished this timber table using a tan wash and cappuccino stain very happy with the end result.

I picked this up from the side of the road. I knew it wasn’t timber by the weight of it so decided to practice some new techniques.
I have painted the body in a neutral colour and applied cappuccino stain over the top.The top and drawer fronts I attempted the faux linen look.
Not prefect but very happy with the end result.
