CEOffice Concepts supplier of Yindi Manufacturing, a Queensland based Indigenous owned chair manufacturing company has launched the Dee range of visitor seating finished in Jimmy Pike fabric.

The Dee (Tallow Wood Tree) was used to make canoes because of its durability, it is resistant to insect attack and that it can be made waterproof.

When the tallow bark was removed, it was cured over a fire and hardened by the smoke. The ends were then tied together, and mud or resin from the grass tree was rubbed on the bark to make it waterproof.
