This is why I love being a carpenter, I get to see what treasures are hidden underneath the surface that most would probably throw In the fire.
I feel a certain amount of responsibility to save and reuse what I can. You've got to remember that this timber was felled from the original big scrub when the settlers moved in.
We don't have to agree what was right and wrong at the time but we should should save what we can, we won't see this ever again.
I'll be trying to incorporate the original timber from the house in the new renovation but what should I do with the posts?
