A home shaped by landscape, material and a slower way of living.

Set into a steep site overlooking the Hopkins River on Gunditjmara Country, River House by Wolveridge Architects unfolds gently with the land. At the heart of its sunken lounge, our Emotion fireplace by Skantherm creates a natural place to gather through Warrnambool’s cooler months.

Its sculptural form complements the home’s restrained palette of timber, polished concrete and natural stone, while a 120-degree rotating combustion chamber allows the flames to be enjoyed throughout the interconnected living spaces.

A considered renovation can do more than create extra space - it can completely transform how a home is experienced.

Sunbeams House by Imogen Pullar Architecture reimagines a cold, dark Victorian terrace into a warm, light-filled family home. By retaining much of the original building and introducing a carefully positioned rear addition around a north-facing courtyard, the design captures natural light throughout the day while significantly improving comfort and energy performance.

Anchoring the living area is the Stûv 6 wood fireplace, whose understated design sits comfortably within the home's calm material palette. More than a source of warmth, it creates a natural gathering place and reinforces the home's focus on comfort and thoughtful design.
