Led by experienced interior designers, brothers Marcel and Lec, the Momu style is a mix of ultra-modern, eclectic and contemporary, inspired by designs of the world. Launching MOMU the minute university was out of the way, it did not take long before the pair realised their desired to make MOMU something special and to hone their passion and skill in custom made-to-order furniture. selves on quality materials and designs and you won't find a MOMU design anywhere else. Every piece of MOMU furniture is designed and manufactured in-house in MOMU's own factory based in the heart of Melbourne, over-seen by their in-house master upholsterer who has been crafting furniture for over 35 years. While the key to the MOMU range is their custom, made to order furniture pieces, which can be tailored to your exact requirements, MOMU also offers a range of pre-made furniture items which can be purchased from their Melbourne showroom or via the website.

Did you know there’s foam… and then there’s foam?
Most sofas feel comfortable when they’re brand new.
The real difference is how they look and feel a few years down the track.
Cheap foam softens, sinks and loses its shape far too quickly, which is why what’s inside your seat cushions matters more than most people realise.
A good place to start? Look for a sofa backed by a full 10-year warranty.

If you’ve been putting off replacing your sofa because you’re worried you’ll have to make too many rules for it, relax!
Fabric protection technology has come a long way, and the latest fabrics are designed to be lived with.
Even light coloured fabrics that come with like this one, are easy to keep clean.
Spills sit on the surface rather than soaking in, and most marks can be cleaned away with nothing but water… as this tomato sauce test proves.
Beautiful, comfortable and practical? That’s exactly how a sofa should be.

We’ve been seeing more and more beautiful brown tones coming through in the latest fabric releases, and we’re loving ithem!

If you’ve got the space for a big modular sofa, a curved one might suit perfectly.

How do you like our Aquila modular sofa in this luxurious terracotta textured fabric?
This 2 piece modular design is angled rather than your typical L-shape and is perfect for open plan living spaces. No lost corner seat, and wherever you sit, you’ve got a great view of the TV or are front and centre to the fireplace.
This fabric has built-in , so if you’re a little accident prone, you can relax. Spilled coffee, or red wine cleans up with just cold water (we tried coffee)!
An angled sofa might not be what you first think of… but maybe it’s perfect for your space?

If you’re on the hunt for a new sofa, don’t overlook the arm width, as it makes a bigger difference than you may realise.
In a small space or apartment, bulky arms can eat into valuable seating (which you definitely don’t want).
On the flip side, if you’re going for a larger sofa, super slim arms can sometimes throw off the proportions and feel a little underwhelming.
It’s always a balance between comfort, scale, and how you like to use your sofa.
