Led by experienced interior designers, brothers Marcel and Lec, the Momu style is a mix of ultra-modern, eclectic and contemporary, inspired by designs of the world. Launching MOMU the minute university was out of the way, it did not take long before the pair realised their desired to make MOMU something special and to hone their passion and skill in custom made-to-order furniture. MOMU pride them

selves on quality materials and designs and you won't find a MOMU design anywhere else. Every piece of MOMU furniture is designed and manufactured in-house in MOMU's own factory based in the heart of Melbourne, over-seen by their in-house master upholsterer who has been crafting furniture for over 35 years. While the key to the MOMU range is their custom, made to order furniture pieces, which can be tailored to your exact requirements, MOMU also offers a range of pre-made furniture items which can be purchased from their Melbourne showroom or via the website.

Comfort is so important when you’re looking for a new sofa, and not everyone’s idea of comfort is the same.
One common issue is that everything else might feel great, but the back isn’t offering enough support.
That can sometimes be as simple as adding a little more height to the frame. In this case, we’re increasing it by a couple of centimetres and making the back cushions a little higher too.
Small changes, but enough to make the sofa feel much more comfortable and supportive.

Do you prefer a sofa that sits low to the ground, or one on legs?
A low sofa can feel cosier and more grounded, while a sofa on legs can give a room a more refined, elegant feel.

Green is actually a very versatile colour, working beautifully with neutrals, timber and other natural tones.

To go modular or not is something lots of people struggle with.
There are pros and cons to both, but we’ve never heard anyone complain about having more room to stretch out, feet up, enjoying a movie! 😌

Things to consider if you suffer from back pain and don’t think your sofa is doing you any favours.

1. A higher back can give you extra support, particularly through your upper back and shoulders.

2. Don’t go too deep or you may find yourself slouching to get comfortable.

3. Consider the arm height. You want to be able to rest your arms naturally, without lifting or hunching your shoulders.

4. The right seat height can also make a difference, particularly if you find it difficult to get in and out of a low sofa.

5. Most importantly, try it properly. Sit back, relax and see how your body feels. What’s comfortable for one person won’t necessarily be comfortable for another.

We love seeing the return of more refined sofas. Sofas with a quiet elegance that don’t chase the latest trend.
Timber legs are becoming more popular again, along with the classic T cushion.
It’s a subtle design detail, but one that adds character and looks beautiful from every angle.
