Amazing news for the evolution of 🎱 in Australia & New Zealand , both countries will see future benefits from the Oceania Championship 🇦🇺🇳🇿🎱🏆👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

* MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT *

The Australian Eight Ball Federation is extremely excited to announce a major development in how our national championships will look.
-
Eight Ball Pool is experiencing a boom across the world and the AEBF are looking to evolve, grow and capture that boom.
-
The traditional Australian Championships which has been played since 1984 will be evolving to include other countries in the Oceanic region to participate.
-
The 2025 Australian “Oceania” Championships will have the following teams added:
* North Island (NZ)
* South Island (NZ)
This means each division at the championships will have a possible ten (10) teams.

The game of Eight Ball Pool in New Zealand is growing, and growing FAST.
The International Rules are sweeping the country and there is a real excitement happening across the Tasman.
In an additional boost, the New Zealanders are sending a fully supercharged squad over to Ireland for the 2025 World Championships where they will be represented in ALL divisions 🤩

The Australian Eight Ball Federation are so excited about this development and are now officially putting the invitation to the entire Oceania region to come and play.

It was an absolute privilege to witness the next generation of Australian 8ball stars compete against each other at the National Junior Eight-Ball Championships in Perth finishing up yesterday. 🇦🇺🎱🏆

Really enjoyed catching up with everyone, it was amazing how many of the juniors that were there that I'd had the pleasure of meeting on my 8ballinstraya adventure previously 😁🤙🏻

As Queensland captain I donned the maroon colours for finals day to cheer on Jackson Agale & Xava Williamson in their respective finals & also for the teams grand final. I was definitely more nervous watching these two young champions take their chances to win their titles, both played incredible and thoroughly deserved their wins 🏆 🏆.Roxie Cooper picked up U18 girls player of the carnival with an incredible performance in the round robin teams event losing only once, unreal 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻So happy for all of them 😁 you done yourselves & Queensland proud.

Another young man I've spent some time with in the NT took out the U12s , he just doesn't seem to know how to lose congrats to Angelo, an amazing young talent. 👏🏻 a very impressive young man from WA took the u15s Liam Nolan in a strong category he showed his skills to be Australian Champ again. 👏🏻

The WA youngsters told me I was wearing the wrong colours as I now live here and it was their day to have the bragging rights coming from a decent deficit to eventually win the final with frames to spare, as a team they all played their part , it was a very impressive team performance that saw them become National champions, congrats to WA 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 super proud of the Queensland team tho, 2nd in Australia again, u guys should hold your heads high, u played amazing all week it just wasn't your day on Sunday, the ones who age out will I'm sure go on to achieve great things at senior level & the rest will be back with that Queensland spirit next year hopefully on home soil to have another crack at the title 🇦🇺🎱🏆

Lastly I just want to mention the Australian team that's been selected to go to Ireland in August, congrats to all of u, I'm very excited to see what the boys can achieve over there , I'll be cheering them all the way 🇦🇺🎱🌏🏆 great job again by the AEBF team, I can't wait to represent you in Ireland at the World titles later this year 💚💛

Very excited to be a part of the first Joy Heyball events to be held hear in Australia 😁

Thanks to AEBF for selecting me to represent them in this tournament 👊🏻

As always I don't have the perfect practice conditions 🙄 but I will be indoors at least 🤣

That being said I'm taking this very seriously and ill be putting 100% effort in to make myself as competitive as I can be 😜

The one eyed dream chaser is back 🤣🤣🤣

The AEBF would like to congratulate the following players who have secured their spot into the Joy Heyball Oceania event 7th-10th October to be held at Central Coast Leagues Club, Gosford NSW.

AEBF had 16 player spots reserved (huge thanks to APPA for this opportunity).

Finished off my trip to tassie with a great coaching session at the Launceston Workers Club 🎱👍🏻

Great group of young men, totally the opposite to the Hobart group this time they were all very similar in age & abilities. Very respectful & polite young men, we went through the fundamentals & adjust any technical issues we could address. 👍🏻

Thanks to the boys for being so coachable & respectful 👊🏻 to the Launceston Workers Club for having me 👍🏻 to 8ball Tas for the accommodation in Launceston 👏🏻 and to Scott & Tamara for the ride from Hobart to Launceston, the tour around the areas & for what you do for the juniors in Tasmania 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

A landmark night last night at the Hobart Workers Club as I can now say with the 8ballinstraya project I've coached juniors from every state/territory in Australia 😁

Last night's group were amazing, such a variety of ages & abilities but all of them polite & respectful. They all took everything on board and I'm expecting big futures in tas 8ball from this group. 👍🏻

It was a pleasure to coach this group and I'm looking forward to the next session on Monday in Launceston 😁

Now to try n focus on potting a few balls myself over the weekend in the Tasmanian Kiler Crossover 😉

With all the sponsors locked in & the new 8ballinstraya shirts currently being made 😁 it's time to say thankyou to all the guys who are supporting the project going forward ❤️

Firing Line & 8ballinstraya were born at very similar times , so 2 friends with different ideas but both wanting to bring something new to the world of 🎱 it seemed an obvious alignment to promote a mates brand along the journey 👊🏻

2 years down the track & we're both going strong , we've both brought something different to the game and we've both definitely had a positive impact on many pool players games around Australia 🇦🇺
