We’ve been super quiet on here this year because, well you know, life! But we did this quick little revamp to end 2022.

Remember when we revamped these IKEA Frida stools and the gorgeous Kylee from Kendall Fitness nabbed them?

Well boy did they get some good use in the kids area of her amazing boutique gym. So when she reached out for these to get a spruce up of course we were all here for it!

So this new fabric from Spotlight is beautifully bright for a kids area and will hide a multitude of sins, we freshened up the paint on the legs and of course finished with scotch guarding the fabric.

We ❤️ them and also love that rather than end up in landfill they’ve been saved for another day 👊

A quick little revamp to kick off 2022. Our client picked this basic white cube bookcase up from Facebook Marketplace and we’ve given her a facelift with new feet and a timber top. All ready for their teenage bookworm’s room ✨

And she’s done ❤️ Couldn’t be happier with how this vintage cart now looks.

A lot of repair work went into this one and it was well worth it, & to hear this restoration nearly bought a tear to our clients eye when delivered is the icing on the cake. It’s just one of many reasons why we love a restoration piece.

So what did we do…

🧰 completely pulled apart
🧰 each piece restored by hand
🧰 replacement of 2 timber pieces
🧰 each piece given a clear (clients selection) lacquer
🧰 reassembled

She’s now ready for many more days of play and can now be handed down through generations now she’s got a new lease on life.

This sweet childhood piece of a very special client has now been pulled apart, sanded and repaired and is ready to be put back together for her stain and varnish ✨

These timeless pieces provide a real challenge when repairing but the end result is always sooo worth it. We can’t wait to show you how beautiful she looks when completely restored 😍

One of our finds yesterday during Second Hand Saturday - the Biggest Garage Sale on the North Coast - this is actually the base of a baby swing. We are giving it a new life as a plant hanger 🪴Stay tuned….

It’s been a wee little while since we popped up on your socials! The studio has had a little hiatus to allow us to work on some personal projects.

The 🍃Tamborine Mountain Country Markets🍃 were back on today though and we couldn’t not share this great stall called Retyred that we saw while strolling around.

Definitely check these guys out! Who knew old tyres could look so good 😍 This outdoor furniture looked sooo good and their garden pots (not pictured but head to their page to check them out) looked amazing too.

And they are Aussie owned 🇦🇺

😍Couldn’t wait to share the finished revamp of this buffet.

We’d normally wait to see it styled in our clients home before sharing but we are just so dang proud of how this turned out [I mean the guy in this duo’s got skills!🤩]

So what did we do....

⚜️repairs to make her structurally sound
⚜️new Jarrah timber stained base + legs with gloss finish Cabot Stain Interior Stain
⚜️fresh modern paint job with semi-gloss finish Dulux Endless Dusk
⚜️lined top 3 drawers in velvet feel fabric
⚜️finished with new gold drawer k***s from Bunnings Warehouse Australia

Can’t wait to see her decorated in her new home! We’ll share pics as soon as we can.
