Some clips from last week and hardest thing I have ever done.
Working to a deadline this close wasn't really that fun but the reward will be very sweet.

New floors.

Using the old rafters from the verandah, 'gold'.

TV cabinet/fire place porn..stone in the floor and cabinetry top.

So close to having it all done,
Next clip will be days from Ash's due date 😅👼

3 week since any post of an update.
I have been under the pump trying to get this house ready for bubba 🫄

Huge days have been put in and I'm exhausted.
But it will all be worth it, I habe been building a life vision and we are days away from stepping into it.

Once this place is complete ill be able to show you some of the designs and features I've wanted in my own home!

Yes, I've used alot of wood 🪵 😁

Property update ✨

Some clips over the reno duration.

From mid December to the end of Jan I have been distracted from my business.
I Happy to say I'm on track with my personl renovation schedule and wilk be starting the installation of ongoing projects organised last year,
And also taking on quotes for 2026!

Living in a reno isn’t my first choice, but the reward is very sweet when it’s your own home — and soon to be our new and improved family home 🏡
I get to make some cool stuff in my own home, yay!

Only 9 weeks to go until bubba arrives…😅

I feel like this is a rite of passage for all parents at some point — you can’t make diamonds without a bit of pressure.

Having such amazing framily and friends helping where they can has made it not only achievable, but genuinely fun. We honestly couldn’t have come this far over the break without them, and we’re loving every bit of it, Mostly 😅😵‍💫

Joinery Smooth is officially back at it Monday, 2nd Feb.
Thank you so much to everyone who’s waited patiently for my return — truly appreciate you all 🙏

And on a personal note, it's been great working with you all over the year,
One of the best parts of my job is not just creating something unique but also meeting new people on this island we call home.
..I couldn't contain adding in the news of my little Elf expected in April! 👼😍

One mirror left,
My lovely partner Ash has claimed one for our home and just yesterday another took off down my driveway ...to the neighbour's house, in his hands, not rolling down the street.

I have created 3 one-of-a-kind mirrors for the Berninneit Melbourne Cup art exhibition in Cowes Cultural Centre.
This art show is my favourite on Phillip Island,
With heaps of local talent on display!

The mirrors are made from all recycled messmate.
Sealed in natural wax oil.
The mirrors were offcuts from 'island glass'
Paint stripper and bleach were used to remove the reflective film on the glass to give the patina-aged effect.

I've given the mirrors names.

Eclipse
Solar Eclipse

You can guess what name goes with what mirror!

If you would like to get your hands on one, they will be displayed for sale at the Cowes Cultural Centre.

Check out this Lundry!

Spinifex laminate from ployteh, a natural plant colour combined with brushed Gold handles and hanging rod.
The timber feature wall is a shiplap in Vic Ash sealed with a wax/oil.

I'll be in my workshop with my doggos 'Riff' and 'Raff' looking forward to more of these projects!
