Despite the fact that flat screen TVs weren’t a thing back in the day, occasionally we find a vintage piece that’s just perfect as a contemporary entertainment unit. And this Hundevad chest of drawers in European oak is one of those rare finds: low, functional, perfectly dimensioned.

We’ve had a wonderful selection of vintage desks of late, including this just-arrived beauty by Rosengren Hansen. With sculpted drawer handles and in highly figured Brazilian Rosewood, this is a lifetime piece from one of Denmark’s finest cabinet makers, complemented here by a rattan chair by John Duffecy.

The sculptural backrest is the standout on these 1960s dining chairs by Arne Wahl Iverson - son of a furniture shop owner and design student at Denmark’s legendary Academy of Fine Arts. This set of four has been reupholstered, with restored teak frames, and will sit elegantly against any table you choose.
