Anglewood was commissioned to breathe new life into a classic German-made Schwechten piano, transforming it into a stunning and functional piece of art. This ambitious project seamlessly blends the piano's rich heritage with contemporary design elements.
The transformation began by carefully removing the internal components, making way for a series of bespoke additions. A custom wine rack was expertly integrated, providing an elegant storage solution for fine vintages. Strategic lighting was installed to create ambiance and highlight the piano's beautiful craftsmanship. A mirror was added, enhancing the sense of space and reflecting the exquisite details of this reimagined instrument. To ensure ease of use, a state-of-the-art Blum Aventos lift-up mechanism was incorporated, allowing effortless access to the piano's new interior. This modern touch perfectly complements the classic exterior, creating a harmonious blend of old and new.
In keeping with Anglewood's commitment to sustainable design, the piano's original internals were not discarded but repurposed into a custom table, ensuring that every aspect of this historic instrument continues to tell its story. The result is a true masterpiece - a classic piece with a modern twist that serves as both a functional storage unit and a captivating conversation piece.
