The Moreton Side Table is one of those pieces we never tire of making.

We began developing the design more than a year ago, and it has evolved into its current form.

We have always loved traditional bobbin turning, and while developing the table we were drawn to rounded, repeating forms found in nature. Neptune’s necklace, found along the Moreton Bay coastline, helped shape the rhythm and proportions of the hand-turned legs.

There is something satisfying about watching the table come together, from the turning of each leg to the careful fitting of the mortise-and-tenon joints.

Designed and made in our Brisbane workshop, the table is crafted from sustainably sourced Tasmanian Oak, chosen for its strength, durability and softly warm tone. Small in scale, it is a natural place for a lamp, a favourite book or a cup of tea beside the bed or a well-loved chair.

Custom Blackbutt cabinet coming along nicely.

First full dry fit. This is the stage where the joinery and proportions start to come together and the cabinet begins to take shape.

Always a satisfying moment.

A busy week in the workshop and Zoe seems fairly confident everything is under control.

Part 1 - dry fitting the side frame for this custom Blackbutt cabinet.

Checking the fit of the haunced mortise and tenon joints.

A satisfying moment seeing this piece start to take shape.

Sketching is still my favourite part of the design process.
Sometimes the beginning of a piece feels almost quiet just me, a pencil, and an idea waiting to take shape.

Here I’m sketching the Moreton Side Table, working through the curves and those subtle bobbin-style legs that give it rhythm and softness.

As light and shadow move across its form, the table becomes part of the room’s language a quiet dialogue of light, form and place.

Our furniture doesn’t just sit in a room it shapes it.

What most people never see.

Our Paradise ottoman begins long before the fabric is chosen.
Its frame. Solid oak, joined using traditional methods.

It is the quiet structure beneath the surface that allows a piece to last for generations.
